• Support in the Early Years Foundation Stage to improve the quality of teaching to ensure rapid progress in developing basic skills
• Triangular Lesson Studies teaching and learning
• The organisation and resourcing of guided, shared and reading
• Literacy assessments for all pupils and assessment training of all staff
• Planned programmes for oral literacy including rhyme schemes and mathematical language for Early Years Foundation Stage
• Planned programmes for poem schemes throughout the Primary School
• Reading Recovery including training for structured booster sessions using its essential components
• Complete INSET packages – with presentations, handbooks, and practical resources for teachers, TAs, LSAs and Reading Volunteers
• Complete Parental Support packages (presentations, workshops, meetings, handbooks and practical resources) to facilitate and broker home partnerships particularly with parents who would not initially attend or be willing to volunteer.
